EIT Food

EIT Food is an EU-supported innovation organization, not a traditional venture capital firm, that funds projects, startups, and individuals across the agrifood ecosystem through open calls, proof-of-concept co-financing, and accelerator programs. Its focus areas are healthier food systems, net-zero agriculture, and food resilience, with priority on protein diversification, resilient agriculture, and agri-food biotechnology. The organization operates as Europe's largest food innovation community and targets mobilizing €1 billion in private and public funding by 2035.
